This weekend I decided to convert my never used dining room into a craft room for me. I have a railroad style apartment and the dining room was one of the inner rooms, so it had no windows other than one that looked into the kitchen. So unless I was entertaining a bunch of people it was preferable to eat in the living room. So in total I think I used the dining room twice in the nearly 2 years I’ve lived here, and recently it’s just been piled up with junk that I have no place else to store.
So yesterday I went to Target and picked up 2 sets of those wire block shelves (on sale for $12.99!) and another plastic drawer set. I pushed the table over to the other side by the “window” and setup the shelves, took all the exta junk out. Except for the bar…the bar is staying
. It’s amazing how much craft stuff I have once it gets assembled. I also went to AC Moore on Sunday night for Moonlit madness and bought out their supply of bead storage containers. They were $.0.75!
Here is a sampling of what is in my craft room now:
- tons and tons of beads
- fabric
- sewing machine
- spinning wheel
- niddy noddy
- swift & ball winder
- lots and lots of yarn
- fabric
- paint
- scrapbooking stuff
- sign vinyl & vinyl cutter
- assorted brushes, pencils, tools
Now that all of that is out of my living room & bedroom I should be able to store my non crafty stuff. The only problem with the craft room is that it has a black shag carpet….oh just about the worst possible rug for a room that’s going to have little bits of everything dropping to the floor! I’ll post a photo when I have everything straightened out.
