Thanks for the pattern. I used different colors, but otherwise followed exactly. I had some leftover solid and marled Paton's in denim and natural, so I used them. The hat knitted up quickly, and fit my large head quite nicely (and warmly). I was even asked for the pattern. I think I will make another, since mine has been "adopted:", and try variagated instead of marled yarn. Thanks again!

Hi - Thanks so much for this pattern. I'll post my finished project on ravelry (knittensilly).

I think there is an error in rounds 5, 7, 9, 11, etc...
Shouldn't round 5 say *K8, k2tog*? And then each subsequent odd row decrease the number knitted?

SH Round 1: *k10, k2tog* (66 stitches)
SH Round 2: knit
SH Round 3: *k9, k2tog* (60 stitches)
SH Round 4: knit
********************************************
SH Round 5: *k9, k2tog* (54 stitches)
********************************************
SH Round 6: knit
SH Round 7: *k8, k2tog* (48 stitches)
SH Round 8: knit
SH Round 9: *k7, k2tog* (42 stitches)
SH Round 10: knit
SH Round 11: *k6, k2tog* (36 stitches)
SH Round 12: *k5, k2tog* (24 stitches)
SH Round 13: *k4, k2tog* (18 stitches)

I am interested in this hat. Can you be more specific as to its dimensions for both single strand and double strand? Thanks.

This is a very cool pattern. Thanks for posting it. I'm pretty sure, though, that for rounds 8 and 9, you mean to put the asterisk after the first slipped stitch. Otherwise, you change to a multiple of 7 + 5.
