I hereby resolve….

February 26th, 2008

I was just thinking about some of my projects and realized I have quite a few almost finished things. Not all of them are in Ravelry either. For example, I’ve got a Tempting II 80% done in a bag somewhere. My Rusted Root is technically done however I don’t like how the ribbed collar folds over so I want to redo it. Then I’ve got that edging on my Hemlock blanket to finish.

So I am pledging to not start any new projects until I complete those three things.

I am about 75% done with my first Endpaper Mitt. I realized I messed up in the middle of my second pattern repeat..but the colors are so low contrast you barely notice.

Pink Visor Beanie

I am also working on making a prototype for a visor beanie pattern. A ton of people asked me for a pattern. I’ve got the main part done but I don’t like how the visor part turned out so I need to redo it and then there shall soon be pattern. Does anyone want to test it for me when it’s ready?

It will look something like this but the hat will be plain stockinette rather than moss stitch. I did it that way because this pattern is really just about how to add the visor. You can knit any type of hat and then add a short row visor to it.

Am probably too late to ask about test knitting your visor beanie … but I will still ask.

I have over 40 years of knitting experience. I have knit caps, scarves, socks, sweaters, etc. for pay (piecework) - for a vendor of knitted goods at the Halifax Farmers’ Market in Nova Scotia, Canada. As well as slippers, dishcloths and other assorted items - for myself or as presents.

I have test knit one item - an Acoustic Guitar Dishcloth.
    It is pictured here: http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-GXLushEib6cIzxPdnOMneYgAIsvB

    Thank your for your consideration,
    Janey W.
